Funding Resources
These organizations help pay for eligible schools that are clients of Richmond Tours.
NYC youth and school organizations
These groups may help pay for activities at eligible Richmond Tours schools through youth programs, community schools, and school partnerships. An organization may only be able to fund activities at schools it already serves.

Fund for New York City Public Schools
Formerly Fund for Public Schools. Manages school-based gifts and grants. Schools can ask about available grant opportunities or donor-supported school initiatives. Its NYC Represents grant is currently unavailable.

Grand Street Settlement
Operates youth and school programs. Schools can ask about funding through an existing partnership or a school-based program.

East Side House Settlement
Supports elementary and middle-school programming. A better fit for a school-program partnership than for an unrestricted grant request.

Replications, Inc.
Provides academic enrichment and community-school support. Schools can ask whether they can participate in a funded program or use enrichment resources.

YABC — Young Adult Borough Centers
An NYCPS educational program, not a grantmaking organization. Questions are handled by the specific center a school already works with.

New York Edge
Runs programs in schools. Principals can ask about bringing New York Edge programs to their school.

Good Shepherd Services
Community-school partnerships in the Bronx and Brooklyn.

Henry Street Settlement
Education and community social work, including school enrichment in Lower Manhattan.

The Child Center of NY
Youth development, after-school programming, community schools, and alternative high schools.

Queens Community House
School-based youth programs, field trips, after-school enrichment, and alternative high-school support.

BronxWorks
Youth programming and related services for children and youth.

Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation
Community-schools partner for Brooklyn Lab School at the Franklin K. Lane Campus.

NYCPS Office of Community Schools
Helps identify community-school partnerships and available services. This office is not a direct grant source.
Organizations that award grants
These organizations award grants. Schools looking for money for field trips, transportation, or educational enrichment can start here.

The Trip Foundation
NYC-area Title I public middle and high school trips, typically $500 for a domestic trip or $1,000 for an international trip. Open for spring 2027 trips through February 15, 2027.

CitizensNYC Community Leaders Grants
Up to $5,000 for NYC community-based educational and youth projects. Public schools are eligible. The 2026 cycles are closed, and the next cycle is not yet confirmed.

Walentas Family Foundation / Two Trees
$5,000 to $25,000 for Brooklyn public schools in Districts 13 and 14. Field trips are among past funded categories. The 2026–27 deadline passed on August 1, 2026.

The Staten Island Foundation
Staten Island education and youth projects. Past awards include support to P.S. 23. The January 2027 cycle deadline is November 2, 2026. Public schools should confirm eligibility, because the guidelines generally require 501(c)(3) status.
